Sunday Video message for April 26, 2020:
In the midst of this global pandemic, where is Jesus? Is the God of Love silent? Absent?
Pastor Rick explores how 'selective attention' affects the way we view the world. We see and hear what we're looking for. How can people of faith retune our ears and redirect our eyes to discover God's presence in today's circumstances?
Calling upon three post-resurrection appearances where those who knew and loved Jesus did not recognize him, Pastor Blunt challenges us to refocus our attention and to look for Christ-like people and actions around us. Recalling Mary Magdalene in the Garden Tomb and the disciples on the shore of Lake Galilee, today he looks at the two men walking along the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35).
Before watching this message (or after), Pastor Rick encourages you to watch this brief 90-second long video about selective attention. https://bit.ly/SelectAttentQuiz
