How and why to boost your immune system before winter

While you're hunkering down at home in your bubble, it's a great time to think about boosting your immunity before winter arrives.

Your immune system's job is to protect your body from all sorts of germs, including the viruses that cause colds, the flu and the new coronavirus, COVID-19. When your immune system is healthy, it can do a remarkable job of defeating these viruses and keeping you well.
The viruses that cause colds and flu-like illnesses stay in the community all year, but you're much more likely to get sick during 'flu season', which usually runs from April to September and often peaks during August.

Having a strong immune system can help your body fight off any viruses you come into contact with. So how do you strengthen your immune system? See our tips below or read more about boosting your immunity.
