Charity Status Update

After four years of charitable activities, PROWIBO's work has officially been recognised by the UK Charity Commission!

This opens up new doors for partnerships, grant applications, fundraising and of course, better ways to make a difference.  

Many thanks to all the team and our new board of trustees and to anyone else who has helped us so far.   

Education During Corvid-19

With universities around the world shutting their doors in March, students have experienced serious interruptions to their studies. In order to supplement the loss of class time, some universities have turned to remote teaching; however, online learning is still not fully accessible to many students around the globe. Using our experience in Sierra Leone and the Ebola crisis, we are providing our partner universities and student network with online resources and personalised assistance to support continued learning and research.

PROWIBO and Corvid-19

• Creating bespoke and personalised content to enable students from around the world to continue their education using free online resources under the leadership of our volunteer professors
• Providing career guidance and pastoral support to our network of students.
• Translating our website into French and creating resources for our francophone students.
• Expanding our engagement with professors at host institutions to support them with continued research
• Sharing access to free academic publications and courses
• Promoting cutting-edge research and online classes on public health
• Fundraising and submitting grant applications to expand our reach
