Hello CHIGAMIK Family!

We hope everyone is managing well during this pandemic.

Although we had to postpone in-person health promotion and community programming, many CHIGAMIK programs and services have moved to virtual formats, including one-on-one mental health counselling, Traditional Healing sessions and community programs. These programs are FREE for anyone living in North Simcoe Muskoka.

Virtual Traditional Healing with Terry Swan

We are pleased to announce that Terry Swan has joined the CHIGAMIK team and is offering virtual Traditional Healing sessions from Tuesday, April 28th to Thursday, April 30th. All Traditional Healing appointments are provided at no cost and conducted using the virtual video conferencing platform called ‘Zoom.’

Our Mental Health Professionals are Available for Support

In these times of uncertainty and physical distancing, it's normal to feel anxious, sad, worried or stressed.

To support individuals facing stress and anxiety due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CHIGAMIK is now offering virtual appointment-based single-session counselling. Appointments are free and available to anyone 12+ who resides in North Simcoe Muskoka.

Free Online Community Programs Open to Everyone!

Physical distancing does not mean social isolation! In response to the need to implement physical distancing, while still connecting with our community, we are pleased to announce that many of our popular community programs are now being offered online! It's the perfect time to connect with others in the comfort of your home! Our weekly programs include: Mindful Mondays, Mama Tribe, Choose to Move and Learn Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe Language).

Primary Health Care

Appointments with CHIGAMIK doctors and nurse practitioners continue to be scheduled as usual but are being triaged to determine if the appointment can be handled over the phone, using video technology, or face-to-face. Please continue to call CHIGAMIK at 705-527-4154 too book your appointment.
