A Message from Wyoming Rising:

Hello and welcome! Our Earth Day Film Fesitival opened on April 17 with a curated selection of independent films not yet available to the general public. We hope you enjoyed them.

New selections have opened on April 19 and a final set will open on April 22. The new selections are documentaries and shorts by independant filmmakers especially chosen with Earth Day themes for you.

The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action. The enormous challenge — but also the vast opportunities — of action on climate change represents our collective determination to protect the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable.

This theme is reflected in our Film Festival.

The Earth Day Team at Wyoming Rising

Wyoming Rising Co-chair Mary Keller will conduct two interactive one-hour workshops (10 am and 5 pm) on April 22 using the En-ROADS climate simulator which is a project of MIT Sloan and Climate Interactive. Keller is training as an En-ROADS climate simulator ambassador. BOTH WORKSHOPS ARE FULL. Thank you everyone for your interest!

This simulator lets participants work through solutions to limit warming to within 2 degrees Celsius (3.7 degrees Fahrenheit) by 2100. Through an intuitive interface, users move sliders to simulate the implementation of policies to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. Mary may conduct more workshops in the future; we'll keep you posted! You can also explore the EN-ROADS simulator on your own.
