Gateway Curriculum Adjusted Start Date

The Gateway Education Leadership team, in collaboration with Phase I design team members, engaged in thoughtful discussion regarding the launch of the new curriculum. With great consideration, it has been decided to launch the Gateway Curriculum on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. This is an 8-week delay from the originally planned launch date of July 13. Please view the revised schematic to reflect this adjustment. More information to come.

Gateway Curriculum Workshops

The Academy of Educators will be hosting a total of four workshops related to the Gateway Curriculum.  The workshops will be focused on instructional methods, predominately active learning pedagogy.  The first session on incorporating active learning into large group sessions, will be held via Zoom on Monday, May 11 from 12:00-1:30pm.  For more information and to register, click here.

Retirement of Vicki Tegethoff, MHA RN

It is with mixed feelings that we announce the retirement of Vicki Tegethoff, MHA RN, effective April 7, 2020. Vicki joined the Office of Continuing Medical Education in 1998, after working for a number of years as a BJH nurse in Otolaryngology. She has served as Director of CME for the past 16 years, where she played a key role in the growth and success of our program, including our achievement of Joint Accreditation for interprofessional continuing education status in 2017. Her dedication to WUSM, wealth of knowledge, and experience will be greatly missed. We wish you the best in your new endeavors!
