Want to play technology bingo with us?

How many different pieces of technology are you using these days?

Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Instagram Live, on-line grocery shopping, banking apps, WhatsApp group chats...and don't forget digging through your email for that password reset link...
Whether you are a pro at it all or are gritting your teeth and wishing we could go back to the days of the rotary phone, we are all finding new ways of connecting with each other in this time.  Community, support and belonging are more important than ever.

For many of our clients, their previous experiences of community and belonging were not positive and they were just starting to learn what a supportive community could look like.  When our doors at the HOPE Centre temporarily closed as a result of COVID-19, our staff was challenged to be intentional and creative in connecting with the families we work with.

Just like the rest of the world, we are now using technology to remind each of our clients that they are loved, supported and encouraged in their journey, even in the midst of a pandemic.

Who won the technology bingo?

We all win when a client connects on-line with their support group and is reminded again that communities can be a positive place and get the encouragement they need for another few weeks of physical distancing.

Help Us Create Supportive Communities

With the closing of Rescued & Restored on March 16, 2020 in response to COVID-19, Eagles Nest lost one of its main sources of funding.  We have taken every measure possible to cut operational and staff costs, but it will not be enough. The demand for the types of services we offer is only increasing and we cannot get through this crisis without help from you.

We need your financial support so we can support vulnerable families in our community during this pandemic and also be in a strong position to continue our services after the crisis.
