VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP HOLLYWOOD!
JULY 9TH-18TH, 2020
DAILY TIMES:
* 9:00am PST - 2:00pm PST

NOTE: Filming days will follow a different schedule. See below.
INTRODUCING - VIRTUAL CAMP HOLLYWOOD!

Camp Hollywood is our favorite event of the year. We look forward to seeing all of you in Hollywood, and are proud of the films we've made and the lives we've changed. This year, due to COVID-19, we realize it's not possible to all be together here, so we are switching over our platform and offering a VIRTUAL camp experience that is safe and open to all. We will miss seeing you in person this summer, but we are so excited about our brand new virtual camp.

The CAMP HOLLYWOOD Virtual Experience will take place over a ten-day period and incorporate filming, scene study, a variety of classes, and a live showcase performance in front of industry professionals all culminating in a shared online movie experience. Read below for more details on the four phases of our VIRTUAL CAMP HOLLYWOOD:

PART 1 - (Pre-Production Classes & Filming)
Part One will consist of acting classes led by John, as well as rehearsal periods for students to film their own scenes and be a part of an overall, virtual based movie. Filming will happen over the weekend at home with directors Zooming in to offer guidance and direction on setting up shots and actor's performances.

PART 2 - (Post-Production Classes + Assigned Scenes for Showcase)
Part Two will begin after the filming process is complete. Campers will be assigned a scene that best fits their skill set and spend part two memorizing and working on their scene for our showcase.  In addition, other courses include: improv, cold reads, social media etiquette, yoga + physical movement, mindfulness, resume formatting, red carpet interview technique, and more will be offered daily!

PART 3 - (One on One Coaching + Virtual Showcase w/ Industry Pros)
During Part Three of camp, campers will be individually coached on their scene and perform it over a virtual showcase for our industry friends. (Casting directors, agents, and managers.) This portion of camp is similar to our PILOT PREP course, only virtual.

PART 4 - (Post-Production & Screening)
To give us time to edit and complete visual effects and other post production work on our films, Part Four of camp will happen a week after the 10 day experience ends. Students may be asked to film pick up shots or record a voice over for their film. On JULY 25th a virtual screening party of the films will occur (we invite you to dress up!) and our industry friends will join us.

Students will also receive an IMDB credit!

The goal of this camp is to provide a well-rounded experience for our actors. Not only will they walk away with a complete understanding of the filming process and business as a whole, they may also gain tools to make them a better, happier human.

Just like our past camps, rehearsals and course curriculum are specifically designed to help actors prepare for their first big job on set. Actors will learn how to build their characters, deliver a successful table read, read a callsheet, and deliver an impactful performance.

For our PARENTS, virtual workshops will be offered. These workshops will help one prepare for what lies ahead in their child's professional career. These opportunities help parents understand what is expected of them, professional etiquette, potential pitfalls and the business in general.

YOU WILL NEED:

1. An electronic device that can use zoom (computer, iPad, phone, etc.)
2. Strong, Stable Internet Connection or Wifi
3. Ability to film a scene with either a phone or a camera
4. Clear audio (either a high-quality phone or camera with mic. Mic not required.)
