WHAT DOES VIRTUAL MEAN?
Simply run or walk in your neighborhood, your backyard or even on a treadmill! The 6K may look very different this year, but our goal is still the same: provide clean water to people in underdeveloped nations.
WHY 6K?
It’s the average distance people in the developing world walk for clean water every day. Just by registering, you’ll be changing the lives of women and children by freeing them from a life spent collecting dirty water.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Click REGISTER on www.6k.run, then JOIN OUR TEAM on the Faith Community Church team page. The adult registration for this race is $50, kids are $25. And if that’s holding you back, type FCC25 in the promo code box to receive a $25 discount.
WHEN IS THE RACE?
The “official” start time on May 16 is 9am, but since this race is virtual you can start whenever you like. There will be a brief pre-race Zoom “rally cry” message to get racers motivated and excited, and then we’re OFF! During the race, feel free to do Facebook Live, Instagram, Zoom, take a video, or post some action selfies using #faith6krunto inspire others! Have fun creating your own 6K race route using tools like MapMyRun and Strava.
Can’t run on May 16? No problem! Just complete your virtual race anytime between April 20 –May 16. Be sure to share your results, stories, photos or videos on social media using #faith6krun. We’d love to share your success with you!
“See” you on May 16!
