Five outstanding winners this month...congratulations!
Suzie Black, NDIS Support Coordinator has been nominated because of her courageous and consistent support to our participants, and here's why:
"First of all I would like to thank you so very much for supporting me with the Review meeting.  Your support was the only thing that helped me get through it.  You were so assertive, supportive and intuitive with such a difficult conversation and I never thought that someone would be in tune with me.  I noticed that when I was unable to speak, due to being so upset and overwhelmed, that you stepped in straight away explaining what I needed and wanted out of my NDIS package and why I was particularly upset with certain things that were said.  You remained professional and optimistic with all of the problems that arose.  This happened not only once but many times and enabled me to be able to complete the Review meeting (otherwise I would have hung up).  Your follow up call and suggestions also helped me to feel better about the whole thing and feel like there is a plan going forward.  I especially feel that I am not alone with this and that means the world to me."
Suzanne Hansen, Coordinator of In Home Support Service received high praise from one of her in home support workers:
"I am really  aware just how hard  you and your team  have been working to put into place procedures to keep us and the clients safe.
Many clients have remarked how appreciative they are. They have really appreciated the phone calls in regards to social distancing and be forewarned about the questions they will be asked by us.
Funnily enough, a couple of them have asked me similar questions and I have been able to proudly advise them of the protocol I have to follow e.g. Temperature and washing hands regularly. This has made them feel safe and taken care of.
I am pleased that we will be making calls to clients that cancel- again showing Communify to be a caring organization."

Bardon Neighbourhood Centre nominated our students Val (above) and Sahara (below) for Communify Awards.

On Wednesday 15/4 Miranda, Kelly and Karen organised to release some of our ER funds to help international students affected by COVID19. These students don’t usually meet our criteria and are receiving no government assistance.
We turned this program over in record time and were absolutely inundated with requests (we had requests for over 100% of the allocated money in one evening).
Sahara designed our data and record keeping templates in one day and Val took on 50% of all of the enquiries because they were Spanish speaking students.
We could not be doing this mammoth task without them.
More client  satisfaction in our in home support called to compliment IHSW John Allen for his fabulous service with helping him to buy his groceries.
"Client wanted to congratulate John for his attention to detail, he performed amazingly under the circumstances as John was able to buy everything the client needed/wanted and client was very impressed. John even had 10 minutes to spare."
