Staff Appreciation Week is May 4th-8th

In honor of Staff Appreciation Week, the Skyview PTSA is making an appreciation video for our Skyview staff and we need student help. They can make a tic tok video, a kind meme, a piece of original art, or a sign that says thank you Skyview staff and send us a picture. Be creative, have fun!

SKYVIEW PTSA MEETING:
Wednesday, May 13th, 7:00pm

• Last meeting of the year! Please come for a great night of celebration, elections & helpful info!
• PTSA will present awards for Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Advocate & Golden Acorn.
• The general membership will vote on the 2020-2021 budget. Thank you to all who donated funds this year!
• Elections for 2020-2021 PTSA officers will also be held: The 2020 Skyview PTSA nominating committee hereby places the following names into nomination:      
  • For the office of President: Barbara Taheri
  • For the office of Vice President of Communications: Melissa Kline
  • For the office of Co-Vice President of Membership: Megan Madsen 
  • For the office of Co-Vice President of Membership: Bushra Yassir
  • For the office of Secretary: Lucy Masui 
  • For the office of Treasurer: Serena Xu
• Sincere thanks to you all for your support throughout the year! Thank you to our nominating committee Colette Puoci, Shea Johnson and Karli Geller.
• Today we open up our self nomination period ("from the floor").  If you would like to self nominate for any of the positions above please do so by April 30th by email the nominating committee at skyviewptsanomination@gmail.com.
• At the close of the self-nomination period, if there is any contested position we will send out an electronic voting method. If no position is contested, we will hold election by voice vote in our next General Meeting, on Wednesday, May 13th. Zoom link for the meeting will be sent out in the next newsletter.
   

April 20-24th is National Volunteer Appreciation Week!
We want to thank all the volunteers in the Skyview community. Volunteers help at picture day, shop for food during the holidays for families in need, hand out ice cream to students at the welcome back event, donate money for classroom grants, run the PTSA, help celebrate diversity at Multicultural Night, organize student enrichment programs, share their insight at Career Day, and hand out refreshments at Eagle Day. This is a just a few ways volunteers help our Skyview community. We appreciate you!!
