Dear College of Arts and Science Community,
I hope you are safe and well during these challenging times. I am grateful for the kind thoughts and prayers many of you have been sending me as well as our faculty, students, and staff at New York University.
I am pleased to invite you to be a part of our virtual tribute in honor of the College of Arts and Science Class of 2020! Scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 12 noon, this will be a unique celebration featuring distinguished remarks, photographs, music, a toast, and an interactive opportunity where all well-wishers may express congratulations via social media. Everyone in the Class of 2020 will have their names showcased during the tribute, which also will be available for subsequent viewing on our CAS website and entered into the official NYU archives. While I hope that you, along with your families and friends, will be proud of our tribute, we will continue to prepare for a day when we all will be permitted to hold a traditional in-person, physical graduation ceremony in celebration of the ultimate accomplishment of CAS seniors at NYU.
Simply log into our NYU College of Arts and Science website on Tuesday, May 19, at noon to join us. We will also send a special Tribute Edition of College News that will include a link for you to watch the virtual celebration and even participate from within the newsletter; a small sampling of photographs will also be featured in honor of our special Class of 2020. As you watch the tribute, please be sure to tweet your congratulations to our graduates using #NYUCAS2020 during the Senior Toast segment and while the Scroll of Graduates is unfolding.
