Meet our featured practitioners this month...

Jess Auerbach: "As well as ongoing work mentioned above, I’ve recently started an ‘Archive of Kindness’ project which is capturing the public imagination in SA in really lovely ways. It’s a record of everyday micro kindnesses that are holding the country together right now, and all kinds of stories are being recorded and shared. I hope to work more on it in the future." Read more here.

Zinhle Maeko: "My biggest challenge was getting my foot through the door. I come from a background of Politics and IR so transitioning to media was harder than I anticipated. Now that I have seemingly found my feet my biggest challenge has been trying to make my content more accessible. This year I am trying to make content that is more accessible to people who can’t read and write or have visual and hearing impairments." Read more here.

Sasheenie Moodley: "There are moments during fieldwork when I am lucky enough to feel – and not just hear – someone’s story. These kinds of moments profoundly impact the way I have come to see the world, and my work. Reflecting, and recounting, these moments makes me smile." Read more here.
