ISSUE NO.53 | MAY 2020
Hey EatMoveRest Fam!
Heads up! We'll be going live on YouTube next Thursday, May 14th at 7pm CDT, to connect with all of you and discuss whatever is on your mind! Come with questions and lots of love and light!
(Also, I just received this email today from Farm of Life in Costa Rica where we host our annual EatMoveRest Retreat. If you're curious how they're fairing at the retreat center, and as a country, I encourage you to read. There are also TONS of amazing, hopeful, positive, and inspiring links to check out, as well!)

Just a little stream of consciousness—I texted this to myself earlier today while I was lying down to rest with Max...
There is so much unity and so much division at the same time right now. When we focus on our differences and try to silence and block out each others’ differing opinions, we become angry and cold-hearted. But when we focus on what we all have in common, we begin to grow stronger as a human race.
No one is immune to this virus, and no one is immune to hurt and pain. No one knows the truth or the outcome except for God. That shouldn’t stop us from seeking truth and questioning what doesn’t feel right. A type of prayer that I usually pray these days is,
God, please make your truths known to me, place them in my path and reveal to me what needs to be known. Please give me the strength to let your light shine through me to others. Please allow me to be understanding and to lead with love.
There is a delicate balance at play right now, between losing our freedom and protecting the vulnerable. Let us continue to be compassionate towards those who are hurting physically, mentally, and emotionally, and those who are directly effected by this virus. All of us in so way shape or form have been both negatively and positively impacted by this pandemic.
Let’s focus on how we can create a shared experience that we will look back on and say, “that was tough, but look at how much stronger AND how much softer it made us as a human race.” Lead with love and put yourself in someone else’s shoes—understanding will take us far!
Final thought...there is no better time than now to ask, What would Jesus do? —If you care to share, feel free to reply this email, I'm always wanting to hear and learn and grow! Love our EMR Fam!
Love & Light,
Erin
