Please join us Thursday, May 21st at 6:30pm for the last Community Meeting of this school year. This meeting will be held virtually. Detailed info regarding this ZOOM call will be sent in a separate all school email.
Discussion topics include:
- “State of the School” with Principal Thaxton – Farah will discuss updates on the move to John Marshall for the 2020-2021 school year, class sizes, answer your questions, and more.
- PTA budget review by our PTA Treasurers and a vote on next year’s PTA budget and officers.

Kindergarten Meet the Principal

Incoming West Woodland Parents are invited to join this virtual meeting with Principal Thaxton on Thursday, May 28th at 6:30 pm. This will take the place of the spring Ice Cream Social. While we are sad to not be able to have our usual Kinder event, we want incoming parents to have the opportunity to meet the principal and ask questions. This last weekend would have been our annual Spring Fundraiser (aka. GALA). This yearly event is huge highlight for West Woodland parents. It’s an opportunity to get together with our school community for a kid-free evening of friends, food, dance, and laughs - all while supporting our school with your ever-generous donations. This year’s Spring Fundraiser team had been hard at work for months and cancelling this event was so disheartening. While the party can’t happen this year, we still need to raise 20% of our budget. We understand this is not a good time for everyone to give. We are asking that those who are able, please consider contributing.

Volunteers Needed!
Join the Bulk School Supply Team

Even though we aren't at school, we are starting to get ready for next year!
The Bulk School Supply coordinating team will need to pass the baton after next year so we are looking for 1-2 parents to join them this Spring to learn the ropes and help get supplies ready to deliver to teachers in the fall.
