May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month. A time to connect, collaborate, celebrate... and GO GREY!
Haven't been to your colorist in a while? Post a photo or video of your grey roots on your social media tagged with #GoGrey and nominate a friend to do the same. And if you don't have hair, or are already rocking the grey, we want to see you too - add a grey scarf or hat, whatever works for you. It's the ice-bucket challenge for GBM!
Happy Star Wars Day! May the 4th be with you. On May the 4th, we're celebrating everyone surviving GBM and using the OurBrainBank app as the FORCE to beat GBM. Take a photo of yourself and share on your social.
Please give on May 5th — Giving Tuesday Now, a new movement to help charities affected by Covid-19.
GoFundMe will match gifts to campaigns that raise at least $1000 from ten or more donors. Funds are limited so please give early and often.
Our app really is a force to be reckoned with. We were thrilled to be featured in MyHealthAppsBlog who call us "a small group that's embraced technology very smartly to punch above their weight." They highlight our "bitesize video tutorials... Most commercial app developers don't do this. OurBrainBank shows that this needn't cost much or take a lot of time, but can be extremely helpful. If only more developers would spend just a little time showing how to use their apps."
Our featured patient today is the amazing Kyle Coddington who says, “Glioblastoma sucks — A LOT — but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The people I’ve met going through this battle have been a huge encouragement and blessing. So many helpful and caring people, it’s awesome.”
The NBTS's annual event, Head to the Hill, has gone virtual. This important event allows the brain tumor community to urge congress to take action on GBM. You can still register. The virtual kick-off is this Sunday, May 3rd.
