Oasis's plan for reopening

Hi Church family!

     Don't forget, Mother's Day is next Sunday, May 10th and we want to help you honor the special moms in your life! And we have a couple ways for you to do that.

 To say thank you to a special mom or motherly figure, take a short video of you saying thank you and send it to us by May 5th so we can share it during our Mother's Day Sunday service. The information on where to send your thank you video can be found below in the 'Community Impact' section of this email.

    There you will also find info on our Mother's Day Drive Thru experience. From 2pm till 4pm on Sunday, May 10th, get mom out of the house for a bit and bring her by the church for a family photo and a rose as a gift from us. We will still be honoring social distancing at this drive thru and taking all proper precautions for health.

    Also, I wanted to let you all know that we have some brand new Virtual Small Groups that have launched so we are asking you to take a few minutes this Sunday, May 3rd to participate in our Virtual Groups Fair! Check out the new virtual groups HERE.

     I hope all of you are doing well and are continuing to stay safe. We miss seeing all of you very much!

Ways Oasis is reaching out to our community and how you can be a part of it
What we've done so far...
- Delivering groceries to foster families weekly
- Providing baby wipes and toilet paper to families
- Delivered homemade protective masks and granola bar snacks to staff at SMH
- Provided prayer support to Chaplains of SMH
- Collected over $3,000 for Day for Hope! Thank you for donating!!!

We are putting together a tribute video for Mother’s Day! Submit pictures/short video clips to missy@myoasis.ag of your biological mom/spiritual mom by Tuesday, May 5th for a chance to be featured!

Oasis PARADE!
We miss you! We know social distancing has been hard on everyone and we want to spread a little joy with a carpool parade past your home! If you would like us to drive by your house with a honk and a wave and a parade of decked out cars, or if you would like to participate in the caravan with your family, register below. Registration deadline is Friday, May 7th.

Mother's Day Drive Thru
Show Mom your appreciation by getting her out of the house for a little while! Come take a family photo, say a socially distant hello to the Oasis Staff and get a rose for mom at our Mother's Day Drive Thru on Sunday, May 10th between 2p and 4pm at the church.  Let us know you're coming so we can plan ahead by filling out the simple form below. Words of Hope

This is our way to provide words of encouragement to anyone feeling isolated, unloved and forgotten during this time. 

Ways to get involved:
Have your kids color pictures!
Write an encouraging note!
Make phone calls and pray with people!
Nominate someone to receive words of hope!

We get it... making dinner for the family every night is hard! If you have the means, we encourage you to take the night off from cooking and support a local restaurant for #TakeoutTuesday.
