From Canon Heather
Dear All,

I hope this finds you well, warm and dry. In this period of spending time at home, I hope you have been able to take advantage of time to work on your hobbies and interests, catch up with friends and family on the phone or by zoom, perhaps do a little tidying inside or in the garden, and enjoy some time in prayer and study of the Word. I would have thought by now I would be used to the arrangements, but find that whilst I am more accustomed to this home-centric existence, I would very much like to be able to see my family, friends and colleagues in the flesh.

At the Cathedral cleaning and repair works continue, and our services are being prepared, filmed and live-streamed, all thanks to our tireless staff. Our ministry team continues to gather each morning via zoom to pray together, and we continue in prayer for each of you.

This week sees a more settled pattern of alternating lunchtime and evening services Tuesday through Friday, and the three services on Sunday. There is of course no need just to listen to us talking all the time. We had bumper numbers for the zoom morning tea at 9.15am last Sunday, so I wonder if we might welcome even more of you this Sunday morning! We also have a Thursday evening catch up at which you are welcome. You can join these by landline if you haven’t a computer, tablet or phone to use, so please let others know who might be in that situation they also can enjoy a chat and catch up with their Cathedral family.

Praying for you God’s peace, patience and encouragement,

Heather.
