Coronavirus & The Golden Pheasant: What do we do now?!
The Future of the Phez
Tuesday at the Phez: We delivered 70 soups & 8 essential shopping bags on Tuesday to elderly in Auchinloch & Kirkintilloch.
Pubs and restaurants are likely to remain closed for the foreseeable. Even if they are allowed to open in a few weeks time, it is likely to be under strict conditions to ensure social distancing can be safely maintained. Where does this leave the Phez? Up to this point, we have been completely closed apart from some painting, decorating & our local free soup deliveries. However this can't go on forever! We still have bills to pay and need to relaunch in some capacity in the not too distant future. We have pencilled in the 13th of May to start operating a takeaway & delivery service, The Flying Phez, and have another couple of ideas which are outlined below. We would love any feedback from you guys, our loyal and valued customers, as to what you would like from us going forward? Unfortunately functions & busy days/ nights in the pub for live music or big football matches are not going to happen anytime soon. What else can we offer the local community to keep this public house institution open?
The Flying Phez takeaway & delivery service is due to start on the 13th of May! We are putting the final touches to an app & website so orders can be placed online for either delivery or collection. As well as food, we will be offering a wide range of drinks, both alcoholic & non alcoholic, and hope to include draught beer & cocktails
Ready meal delivery service. We are planning on offering a range of delicious & nutritious chilled meals for delivery which can be popped in the oven at your own convenience. These will be made by our team of professional Chef's using only the finest quality ingredients. Bringing a taste of the Phez to you!
