New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio went to Williamsburg, Brooklyn to witness a large gathering of Orthodox Jews for a funeral during the pandemic and swiftly issued a warning and threats of arrest on Twitter. The mayor is being accused of singling out this community despite not being vocal about other gatherings in the city. Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, president of the National Jewish Center Learning and Leadership says the mayor is way out of line.
