YTCTE Distance Learning - Bringing us all closer together
Divisional Highlights
ECE
This week the ECE children enjoyed an exciting afternoon sing along with Morah Music. The children were so excited to see Morah Music and virtually sing all their favorite songs together with her and their friends, using improvised musical instruments!
KES
This week KES and ECE rolled out Enhanced Distance Learning! The Zoom classes, assignments, and breaks have all been scheduled, to better replicate a regular school day. Students now only need to navigate to 1 folder the entire day, and all the information they need for all classes is on 1 printable document. Although the change has been an adjustment for all, and there are always more improvements that we can work on, the change has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from our KES families.
The boys and the girls each enjoyed a fun Erev Shabbos assembly this past Friday. The singing and virtual achdus almost felt like we were in the Yeshiva auditorium!
RMS
The Three4 Club embodies the RMS vision of leadership, which is the students' ability to make good decisions on a consistent basis. Eligibility into the Three4 Club is based upon the fourteen skills and behaviors that support learning found on our current report card.  Along with their teachers, students monitor their growth in these middos throughout the year. Watch the video below of certificates that were recently mailed out!
Mazel Tov to Rabbi Eisemann's 7th grade shiur on finishing Perek Hamaniach with Rashi and many Tosfos! Even with the challenges of distance learning the class goals were met right on target. What a tremendous accomplishment!
DACHS
We had a beautiful Rosh Chodesh program last Friday where the boys split into groups and shared creative songs/poems and divrei chizuk with each other during this pandemic. Topics included the increased realization that Hashem is in charge of the entire world, our personal responsibility to grow amidst these challenges, and that Hashem wants to hear our Tefillos. Click below to watch 11th grade talmid Abe Kushner's perspective on the current situation.
Rabbi Blinder's voluntary mishnayos shiur was just misayem another mesechta and has just started meseches Ma'aser Sheni. Mazel tov!
BMZE
Distance Learning comes with an advantage! We have had the zechus to have guest Rabbonim from outside of Florida give Mussar Vaadim each week. Our alumni have enjoyed tuning in. This Tuesday we heard from Rabbi Yosef Singer, Menahel of Mesivta Chofetz Chaim in Queens, NY.
BMZE recruiting is in high gear for Elul 5780

A Message From Torah Umesorah
Below is a timely message  of encouragement from HaRav Elya Brudny, Rosh HaYeshiva of the Mir Yeshiva of Brooklyn and member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah.

We know that during these trying and stressful times not every parent may have the time, energy or ability to fully implement his valuable directives. However, everyone should try to encourage and enable your children, in every way possible, to rise to the occasion under the very difficult conditions we all now face.

Our administration, rabbeim, moros and teachers are here to help you and guide you in any way we can and we encourage you to reach out to us for assistance, or even just a listening ear. Together, we can create a dynamic relationship as partners to the benefit of all our talmidim and talmidos .

Rabbi Baumann's Letter
Leadership For Today
There is a widespread belief that deceptive advertising, misleading information and fake news began with the advent of mass media and intensified with social media. While such practices have certainly been very prevalent in recent decades, and we are subject to them constantly, it is worthwhile to understand that it is a very ancient practice.  So old in fact, that the Torah deals with it and shows us how to address it.
