Newsletter May 2020

Good morning everyone!

I truly hope you are all well and that you and your family are navigating this time with strength.  This month really couldn’t follow the same format as others and I don’t know about you, but I have been struggling with my mind exploding with ideas and thoughts, all at the same time and yet find it very difficult to accomplish anything!   This is a true test of focus and perseverance and if there is ever a time to take up something like meditation to focus the mind and motivate the physical, now is it!!

For me, finally procrastination gave way to panic and I either put something good together to share with you all or skip the May newsletter altogether and since I haven’t skipped a month since I started in 2014, the second option was difficult to swallow!!!

So here goes...it’s quite different to the normal newsletter,  but reflects what we’ve been up to and I’m actually excited to send it out to you!  Job done❤️❤️

The latest and greatest includes some quirky zoom portraits that I was experimenting with.  I am a big fan of a wonderful photographer in Nashville - Jeremy Cowart.  He has used projectors quite a lot in his photography and I think with zoom...it makes for some very interesting results!  Take a look at some of my early efforts!  If there is someone you would like to be photographed with who you can zoom with, I'd be happy to create a portrait for you!  Alternatively, if you are having a zoom party...I. can capture that too!! See the BNI portrait below in the spotlight.  No fees... but...feel free to donate to your favorite non-profit or WHO (World Health Organization)!

The monthly special offers a great idea for mothers day!

My own camera fun comes from our quarantine (or quaranteen) life...check out what we've been up to!

The panoramic passion continues from Dorset, UK.  Definitely one of my all time favorite pictures!

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful May!

Cheers,

~ Tracey xxx

Latest and Greatest - Zoom, zoom, zoom to the Moon...or San Francisco!!

Anyone remember the children's song,'Zoom to the Moon'?  It was definitely a favorite of ours.  I have loved catching up with friends during this quarantine time and definitely had more conversations over technology that we would have done had we not been confined to our homes!  I took a few portraits and added some other artwork and boom...here is my #idratherbe... series.

Spotlight - BNI

For the Photographer in You -  Digitizing Old Prints!

Do you have shoeboxes of old photographs?  Mike's camera does a great job on either negatives or standard sized prints and will convert your photographs to digital files that you can save and share for a very reasonable price.  However, as soon as you have something non-standard, or want to digitize other valuables such as newspaper articles, it isn't so affordable...here is my solution!  Using your camera, you can digitize many of these pictures with a little time and organization!

I would recommend a tripod and spirit level as well as a white flat table that you can place the items on.  It's useful to have a remote shutter release but not necessary.

Let me know if you'd like to know more....

Little Ditty About My Own Camera Fun - Quaranteens and Puppy's!

I just couldn't resist photographing our cute puppy here...everyone was busy with their work and he was looking for a friend!!  I opened the door....and just look at that face!!

Moving on to birthday cakes and zoom birthday celebarations....I'm pretty sure we aren't the only ones creating a special event for friends and family that can't be in the same place!  Is the world getting even smaller before our very eyes??

Panoramic Passion - Durdle Door, Dorset, UK
