Unlike a normal study class, we will try out an ancient Christian technique to 'digest' a Buddhist text and try listen with all our body and being. The technique is called 'Lectio Divina' and is a very old Christian Monastic technique in which you read a small part of an inspiring piece of text, slowly and in silence.

Jeanette Den Ouden, chaplain at Spectrum has worked with this 'Lectio Divina' techniqufor 15 years, and is happy to share her experience with it.

Do you worry about the state of the world? Have you ever wondered how to stay sane amidst global challenges? In this workshop we will meet online to look at our own feelings around global crises, be it corona, climate change or social injustice. Lian Kasper will guide us in practices from the Work that Reconnects by Joanna Macy to discover how the capacity of ‘feeling with’ our world is actually a very healthy sign of a care, and  how we can use this capacity constructively to engage and empower.

Interested? Sign up for this zoom-meeting with Lian Kasper by sending an e-mail to spectrum.spc@wur.nl.
