Resource Center

The BOOST Cafe Resource Center is a collection of free resources, curated by BOOST and sorted by grade level and category. The Resource Center is always available to you as a BOOST Cafe user, and our team has been actively adding new resources to help you adjust to teaching and learning during COVID-19.

We have highlighted resources below that can be used in and out of the classroom to highlight Mental Health Awareness month.

Widespread stress and anxiety regarding COVID-19, compounded by the economic distress due to lost wages, employment, and financial assets; mass school closures; and necessary physical distancing measures can result in an increase of stress-related health conditions. The California Surgeon General has a simple guide with things you can do every day at home to help support your mental and physical health, utilizing six key strategies.

Teen Mental Health is an organization that hopes to utilize the latest scientific evidence to create training programs, publications, and resources to improve understanding of adolescent mental health and mental disorders. Dr. Stan Kutcher and his team collaborate with health care providers, policymakers, schools, the business community, and the general public to deliver internationally recognized research on the mental health of youth.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization that advocates for access to services, treatment, and research for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI not only works with those directly affected by mental illness, but also assists families and loved ones by providing free education, programs, and support groups.
