The following selections come to us from a local private cellar. The wines were held in a dedicated temperature-controlled wine room and are in excellent condition.

Scores aside, any decent Bordeaux deserves time in the cellar and will reward the investment, well beyond whatever en-primeur points might have told you. There's some good drinkers offered here at very reasonable prices given their maturity. Many are much cheaper than current release. For example, 1988 has waited a long time for its moment in the spotlight. They've never been so good.

There's some pre-pre-mox white Burgundies and a really solid Italian section. If you are looking for a nicely mature Barolo, the Seghesio is right there now and we are pleased to see a few mature Super-Tuscans here too. We rarely get much chance to offer them.

The Torres Gran Coronas is an elegant old Cab and a very affordable collector's piece. It has handled its 25 years in bottle very well. Again, it is a rare find.

There are some really clever buys in the California list from the golden age before the alcohols went pear-shaped and it is nice to have a shot at some 20 year old Beaux Freres, though there are precious few bottles available of any of these.
