Did you know you can still join the library online?
If you know someone who'd love to read an eBook, learn a new language or be part of our fun Bilby and Possum kids club, let them know they can still join the library. Even though our branches are closed, the library is still open online and there's lots to help pass the time.
All they'll need to do is visit our Join the Library webpage and follow the instructions. It's free to join, there's no age limit and your membership gives access to thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies to stream, eMagazines, databases, language learning tools and more.
A library card is the key to exploring the world and connecting with those around you while COVID-19 keeps us at home.
For further information and advice on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health alert visit the Australian Government Department of Health and NSW Health websites.

Monthly Book Clubs
Have you thought about keeping your Book Club meeting dates via social media, Houseparty, Zoom, even Messenger or WhatsApp?
There are plenty of online resources to keep everyone reading, and here are some suggestions:
- RB Digital online offers eBooks and eAudios and has a Book Club suggestion list with concurrent loans for up to 14 days (so your bookclub should all be able to borrow the same book). There are some fab titles in this collection
- BorrowBox offers free audio and ebooks
- If you can’t all get a copy of the same book, consider reading by theme
- Choose a recipe from our RB Digital eMagazine collection. Cook it and share digitally
- Watch a movie and discuss if you think it differs from the written word. Try one from Beamafilm
You can have all the chat and wine, and there will be no risk of being caught over the limit on your way home.
We would love to hear what you’re doing. You can email us at libweb@wsc.nsw.gov.au and include photos, information and of course, the books you’re reading.
