Sunflower seeds giveaway, for a sign of hope

During these uncertain times, gardening and growing is a peaceful, mindful activity that everyone can undertake even if they don't have a garden. We would love it if this summer South Plaistow explodes with sunflower blooms in people's front gardens, to symbolise hope, solidarity and togetherness. Will you help us? Send your name and address to Green Spaces Community Worker Milena on 07388 406-499 /milena@plaistowsouthbiglocal.org.uk, and she will post a few sunflower seeds through your door for you to grow.

Tunmarsh Lane tree pit gardens - an update
Last week, Newham Council replaced two long-time missing trees on two tree pits in Tunmarsh Lane, adding more greenery to the Street. The tree pits themselves are still looking lush and green, and also had new batch of bulbs and donated seeds planted this week to keep them blooming for the next few months. With recent rains, we can look forward to continuous display of flowers that are much appreciated by all who walk past.
