In our April virtual event, we heard from Jay Love, donor data expert, and Chief Relationship Officer and founder of Bloomerang. Jay shared his strategies for focusing on the second gift - which is the key to donor retention and lifetime value. These critical criteria should be on every fundraiser's mind. If a donor makes a second gift, their likelihood of lifetime retention increases from 20% to 60%. Jay shared the best way to steward that second gift and walked attendees through calculating the organization's donor retention rate. How does your organization compare to the national average?
