As you know, we had planned a farm event, complete with tours and a Mother’s Day plant and gift sale, next Saturday, May 9th. This event was also going to include a “Sneak Peek” at the pocket neighborhood under development next door by Coastal Haven Families.

Due to our utmost concern for our staff and guests’ health, as well as the extension of our county’s Shelter in Residence order, Common Roots Farm and Coastal Haven Families are postponing our event until it is safe for us to gather again. Because Coastal Haven Families is building affordable units, their project continues during the shelter requirements, and you are invited to view their progress virtually and visit their website.

Spring on the farm is a busy time as we plant out for our coming season and prepare for the modifications needed to safely offer our produce and flowers to our community. We are mindful of everyone we miss seeing here at the farm, especially our regular volunteers and visitors from local day programs.
