Join us on Sunday, May 3rd at 7:00 PM for our first ever Section Campfire. Hear from your section and lodge leadership about program updates and get your questions answered.

The campfire will be broadcast LIVE on the Section W-1S Facebook page. Don't have a Facebook account? You can still watch the livestream on Facebook without an account using the link at sectionw1s.org/live.

Have a question about the Order of the Arrow program? Send it to communications@sectionw1s.org and your lodge and section leadership will answer some of them during the livestream.

We hop you will gather 'round the campfire with us next Sunday!

Vice Chief Vibes

Brothers of Section W-1S,

I hope you are all staying safe in these strange and troubling times. COVID-19 has taken its toll on all of us, and now more than ever, brotherhood is vitally important. As of right now, all section events, are scheduled as planned. As your ACT Conference chairman, I’m encouraging all up-and-coming youth leaders in the Order of the Arrow to attend our Adapt, Collaborate, and Thrive Conference this August. The training will be geared to making our three lodges reach the thriving status, and building our future youth leaders to ensure our Order thrives for years to come. Your section leadership is working hard to bring you virtual support to ensure OA operations throughout this obstacle. Stay safe Section W-1S. I’ll see you all at conclave!

Yours in Brotherhood,

Dirk Smelser
Section W-1S Vice Chief

Arrowmen have a unique opportunity to explore Philmont Scout Ranch through the OA Trail Crew program.

Arrowmen will spend two weeks at Philmont Scout Ranch for a fraction of the cost of a normal trek, providing cheerful service to the trails of Philmont during the first half. During the second half of the program, Arrowmen will complete a customized trek.

"OATC was better than any other OA event I'd been to before. Life changing, and besides, who doesn't like Philmont?!"

— Jacob Kutnyak, 2019 OATC participant and 2019 Philmont staff

Scholarships are availble for youth Arrowmen to attend these programs from both the section and region.
