Monthly Meeting Highlights

While practicing social distancing, the Monthly HOA Meeting was held on May 11, 2020 at 7:30 pm via a conference call.  Board members on the call were:  Martha Akins, Thom Tomlinson, Judy Transue, Denise Fast, Michelle Kring, Kevin Knipp, Ashley Shadel, and Treka Henry.

The next meeting will be on Monday, June 8.  Depending on the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, this meeting may also be conducted via conference call.  Under normal circumstances, the monthly meetings are typically held at the Lenexa City Center Library and all residents are encouraged to participate.

Topics Discussed:
  • Pool opening
  • Neighborhood yard sale
  • Bulk-item pick up
  • Upcoming social events during pandemic

REMINDER: Memorial Holiday Waste Pickup
Due to the approaching Memorial Holiday, waste services will be on Wednesday, May 27 (instead of regular day for pick up on Tuesday).  See Republic Service's Holiday Schedule here

POOL
Typically, our neighborhood pool would be opening during Memorial holiday weekend; however, due to the current situation with the pandemic, we are obeying the guidelines set forth by the Governor of Kansas.  The pool will not be open until at least June 1; however, things continue to change quickly so please keep an eye on future communication via email or Facebook.  We appreciate your patience as we get through this!

NEIGHBORHOOD YARD SALE
Typically, our neighborhood has two neighborhood-wide yard sales the weekend prior to Bulk-Item Pickup; however, again, due to the current situation we find ourselves, we will not be participating.  We look forward to the fall for when we may be able to encourage everyone to team up with the neighbors and have a yard sale!   Of course, this too is dependent upon how the pandemic goes and what the governmental guidelines allow.

BULK-ITEM PICK UP - And for the good news!
So we may not be having a fun-filled neighborhood yard sale, but we will still be able to get rid of our junk on June 2!  For more information from Republic Services on preparing for a bulk trash pickup, click here

ARCHITECTURE
As residents continue to make updates to their homes, please remember to contact the Architecture Chair regarding any exterior changes prior to beginning the project. This must be approved by the architecture committee before the work is done. This includes new roofs, painting the exterior of your home (even if it is the same color choice) and any project for the outside of your home. We want to ensure that the work aligns with our bylaws.
