Dear <<First Name>>,
Welcome back to Term 2. I hope this finds you and your family keeping safe and well and managing as best you can under the trying circumstances we are in. The school staff and I look forward to continuing to work closely with you to ensure your children’s continuity of learning and positive wellbeing this term.
Please note that tomorrow (Tuesday 28 April) is a second school development day, with students not attending school or learning from home. Term 2 commences for students on Wednesday 29 April.
Following the Premier and Minister for Education’s announcement of a managed return to school starting on 11 May, I can provide the following information:
  • Weeks 1 and 2: families are encouraged to keep children at home where possible. The school is open for students who need to attend. Students at school and at home will both be working from the Learning From Home Plans.
  • Week 3 onwards: every student will attend school one day a week, with around 25% of students in attendance on any given day. Students who need to attend every day or on multiple days will continue to do so.
To assist with our planning for the phased return to school, please complete a new survey regarding Student Attendance at School from Week 3:
Week 3 Survey
This survey is to inform us who will attend school one day per week, or on multiple days, or full time. Families are also asked to provide preferences for days, which we will do our best to accommodate where possible.
Thank you to everyone who completed the previous survey about student attendance at school in Weeks 1 and 2. Please note that this is a new survey, about attendance at school in Week 3 and beyond.
For more information to families about the process for the managed return to school over the coming weeks and months, visit: Managed return to school - A guide for families
Thank you to families in Kindergarten, Year 4 and Year 6 who collected resource packs today. Packs for Year 2, Year 3, Year 5 and 4/5/6M will be available for collection tomorrow.
From Wednesday 29 April, we request that parents limit access to the school site except in urgent situations or where requested by school staff. Where possible, please communicate via phone or email, arrange drop-offs and pick-ups outside the gate and depart promptly when dropping off and picking up children. If you need to come onto the school site, please practise social distancing when in the office and the playground.
Please ensure that children with any symptoms of illness are kept at home, or that medical clearance for them to attend school is provided. We appreciate your support of our staff members’ health and safety by closely following this advice.

Logging in to Zoom:

To access school Zoom meetings, students need to log in through their NSW Education Zoom accounts (private accounts cannot join school meetings). Instructions can be found here: How students can access Zoom meetings in NSW public schools
<<First Name>>, thank you for your understanding and support, and for your ongoing partnership in your children’s education. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the school and someone will be in touch with you to assist.
