The Stronger Together series was launched to inform leaders and build organizational resilience as we tackle the pandemic. A partnership between PRG and the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL), these interactive webinars connect expertise with decision-makers responding to the crisis. Content includes: Fundraising in a Crisis, Business Continuity Planning, Board/Staff Partnership in the COVID-19 Era, and new topics as needs evolve.
Highlights of what we learned from the first Stronger Together seminars last week:
- 90% of the 40+ participating organizations had either cancelled, postponed or went virtual on their previously planned spring fundraising events.
- 70% of participating agencies experienced a “surge” in unsolicited giving since the crisis began.
- Communicating with donors, what to say and when to ask for gifts is an uppermost concern for nearly every organization.
- The right banking relationship was the common denominator among those who were approved for SBA loans under the CARES Act.
- Every person on the webinar heard and learned something from a new voice in another agency that faced-down a similar challenge!
