Dear Community of Practice Members,

Join us on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 for a chance to learn more about the new Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey, how it has been deployed thus far, and could be implemented on campuses this coming year, as well as to consider how its results can be used. 

Our stimulus speakers, Guy Faulkner and Tim Dyck, will respectively provide an introduction to the survey and raise questions about applying its findings.

HM|HC Talks


HM|HC Talks is a series of online meetings available to our community of practice. Each meeting will focus on a particular health literacy topic and feature stimulus speakers who are doing related work on their campuses. The meetings will be hosted on GoToMeeting, allowing for active attendance. HM|HC Talks' format intends for attendees to participate in dialogue and then collaborate thereafter as they wish with speakers and other campus members on special matters of interest. 

Please note: To streamline registration, we will be using the GoToWebinar platform but the HM|HC Talk will be on GoToMeeting. Registrants will receive a confirmation email and access information one day before the Talk. 

Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey

Tuesday, May 5 @ 10:30am-11:30am PDT


Online meeting participants will:
  • Learn about the new CCWS how it could be implemented on Canadian campuses
  • Meet like-minded people
  • Participate in facilitated conversations
  • Build connections to help local effort and broader collaboration
HM|HC Talks format:
  • Interactive meeting with the option to connect over webcam (preferred), chat or phone
  • Stimulus speakers to introduce a health literacy topic followed by group dialogue
  • Limited spots available, please RSVP below by May 4.

Stimulus Speaker: Guy Faulkner 


Guy is a professor at UBC's School of Kinesiology and has worked on the development of the CCWS. He will be providing more details on the survey and available to answer questions regarding its implementation.

Mental Health Week

The 2020 CMHA Mental Health Week is from May 4-10 where the campaign is to #GetReal about how you really feel. The theme of social connection is very relevant to our current situation where rules and guidelines of physical distancing shouldn't prevent us from being social through innovative means.
