Today's Daily Generosity Idea

Isolation is central to the persistence of domestic violence, sexual violence, and incarceration. Writing letters to criminalized survivors helps to dismantle this isolation, creating pathways for connection, collaboration, and coalition. Currently & formerly incarcerated survivors have stated again and again how important letters of support are to relationship building and their well-being.

See It In Action

Survived & Punished is a national coalition that includes survivors, organizers, victim advocates, legal advocates and attorneys, policy experts, scholars, and currently and formerly incarcerated people. They organize to to de-criminalize efforts to survive domestic and sexual violence, support and free criminalized survivors, and abolish gender violence, policing, prisons, and deportations. They started the Letter Writing Action Center in support of their cause!
