A Note from My Stay-at-Home Studio

Wash your paws!
I hope this email finds you safe and well as we all adjust to the pandemic realities that have changed so many things in our culture in recent weeks. I am well, and I hope that you are too.

I wanted to send you a note to let you know that my studio has moved to my home for now, but I am still creating and making fun things.

My gallery at Avenue Arts Theater and Marketplace has been closed since March 17 due to the COVID-19 crisis. (There is no timeline for reopening at this point.) I moved my studio back home at that time and I have been working from home ever since.
I have been spending my increased time at home in reflection, and in reassessing my steps forward. Honestly, I have stared at my easel, more than I have painted at it. When the world changes around you, your art takes some time to catch up. I have been creating things though. You can see the latest things from the studio on my Instagram and Facebook pages.

I have tiptoed into the virtual space, as well, doing some Facebook Live broadcasts for ArtsinStark and Canton First Friday.
I think I am ready to do more than tiptoe, though. Instead, I am ready to jump in feet first!

This coming Friday, as we move our First Friday activities online for the second time, I will be holding a special 12 hr Stay at Home Paint-a-Thon which you can follow online from the comfort of your home.

Stay at Home Paint-a-Thon

Friday, May 1, 2020
Noon to Midnight

Painting as many paintings as I can in 12 hours!

Join me for a 12-hr Stay-at-Home Paint-a-Thon for this Month’s Virtual Canton First Friday!

On Friday, Friday, May 1, 2020, I will paint non-stop in my home studio for 12 hours and create as many paintings as I can. I will paint from noon to midnight, posting in-process photos and making Facebook Live broadcasts during First Friday. Once the paintings are completed, they will be posted for auction on my website. Here is how it will work:

1. I will paint as many paintings as I can between 12 noon to 12 midnight (EST) on Friday, May 1, 2020.
2. All of the paintings will be posted for auction on my website (www.bztatstudios.com) on Sunday, May 3, 2020. Bidding will conclude Tuesday, May 5 at 10 pm EST.
3. I will be posting photos of the works in progress throughout the Paint-a-thon to Instagram and to Facebook. Follow the hashtag #bztatptg for the latest.
4. Each painting will be approximately 10″ X 14″ on wood. There will be a minimum bid on each painting. There will also be a $25 USA and $45 international shipping fee for each painting.

My paint-a-thons are a great way to find some affordable bargains on artwork! Have suggestions for what you’d like me to paint? Reply to this email and let me know what you would like to see on my easel. Then follow along on Friday to see if it comes to be!

Be safe. Be well. Stay at home when it is not necessary to be out. Wash you paws frequently, and enjoy the creative adventures that find you in this trying time.

Life is an Adventure!
