🎂 A few weeks ago, I sent out my birthday appeal - for your support in helping us respond to new and urgent needs brought upon the people we support and others here in Chiang Mai due to the devastating effects of the Coronavirus.
Being aware that everyone is being affected, I honestly did not set my expectations very high.

In total, € 33.586 has been raised, with € 22.548 specifically from the Birthday fundraiser.
This was an incredible birthday surprise for me. I cannot really express my gratitude in words. The generous outpouring of support in a time of global crisis is inspiring to us all at PCF, and our whole team and I will make sure these funds are put to the intended use quickly and effectively.
Thanks to YOUR additional support, PCF has been able to increase our help for people facing desperate times.

Every day, up to 200 meals are being provided for people in Chiang Mai through our partnership with Monsoon Tea.
And just in the last week we were able to act upon the urgent requests of 300 refugees from the Koung Jor Shan Refugee Camp and Burmese migrant workers in several villages in Northern Thailand.

In normal circumstances, these refugees and migrant workers find work on local farms. But that is not possible now, and without a social safety net, they run out of options to provide food for their families.
And as we all deal with the COVID-19 impact, now is more important than ever to not forget those most vulnerable and most at risk.

We expect that in the weeks and months ahead, there will be more very urgent pleas for our help.

- € 0,85 ($ 0,92) pays for a nutritious meal for those in most need here in Chiang Mai. 🍚
- About € 1.650 ($1.790) feeds 300 people in Koung Jor Shan Refugee Camp for a whole month. 🍚
- About € 13 ($14) ensures a migrant family can eat for a month. 🍚
