GULFPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT CARAVAN

The highlight of most birthdays is blowing out the candles on the cake. Gulfport Police Department is giving that moment competition by offering a police car caravan filled with flashing lights and radio announcements. Since necessity is the mother of invention, they came up with a new way to celebrate. Just because face-to-face appearances cannot be accommodated at the moment doesn’t mean a cool experience can’t be created! If you want to celebrate your birthday with the heroes in blue, complete the form on the Gulfport Police Department website.

GUIDANCE FROM THE NATIONAL RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION

As industries open more, keeping our communities healthy will still be important. The National Restaurant Association has partnered with the Food and Drug Administration, the Conference of Food Protection, Ecolab, public health professionals and restaurant industry professionals to create a set of guidelines for restaurants on how to safely reopen.

The guidelines include recommended practices that could mitigate exposure to COVID-19 such as:

  • Food Safety
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Employee Health Monitoring and Personal Hygiene
  • Social Distancing
