More Spring Garden News

Garden plans:
We are expecting to be able to use the gardens this summer. We have developed guidelines to minimize risk which we have provided to public health. We don't expect news on that for a bit though. In the event we aren't able to use the gardens we will offer a refund of fees.

We have developed some gardening rules and guidelines. These are now posted on the web site, and of course, are subject to change as the situation evolves.
We are looking for spray bottles. We'll need these to sanitize equipment. If you have one you can donate to the garden please email: info@ykgardencollective.org

Seed potatoes have been sited around town. These store better in a cool dark place. get yours now, if you can.

CBC will be doing a garden call-in show today from 4-6 PM on Trails End. They will be featuring some expert northern gardeners and taking questions from the public.
It is AGM time We expect to have our reports ready in a week and will announce a date and time for an online AGM soon.

We also may have additional plots available, if you are interested in a second free plot email membership@ykgardencollective.org. Second plots won't be available until mid-June.
Board members needed!

We are looking for board members most of the current board are willing to continue, but we do have a couple of vacancies. if you are interested contact chair@ykgardencollective.org
Financial hardship refund of fees

If you've been financially impacted and need your garden fees back, we will return your fees and let you use the garden plot for free. Usually we don't provide refunds, we've made an exception for this year.
So for this year, you can send a request to treasurer@ykgardencollective.org and request a financial hardship return of your fees. Include your plot number. The request should be sent from the email address that paid the fee. If you paid by PayPal, the fees will be refunded via PayPal.
Weledeh school garden program

We don't expect that the school garden buddy program will occur this year. If it is cancelled, we will waive the criminal records check requirement for this garden and we'll expect the garden plot holder to use the 1/4 plot allocated to the school program and donate the proceeds, the same way the other garden sites do.
