Браћо и сестре,
Христос Воскресе, радост донесе! Прославићемо ове недеље великог угодника Светог Георгија који је био војник у римској војсци цара Диоклецијана, великог гонитеља хришћана, али је био чврст, зато што је веровао у Христа и прошао страшне и велике муке, јер није хтео да га се одрекне ни по коју цену. Он за све хришћане представља пример непоколебљиве вере која истраје до краја. А то је управо оно шта Господ тражи од сваког од нас. па зато у еванђељу и каже, "ко истраје до краја, тај ће бити спасен" (Мт. 24:13).
И ми ових дана пролазимо кроз искушења али радујемо се Васкрсењу Христовом. Ако своју веру у Васкрслога Христа учврстимо и својим делима је покажемо, бићемо са великим угодницима Божјим у Царству небеском.

This week:
Dear brothers and sisters,
Christ is risen and brings us joy! We will celebrate this week the great martyr St. George who was a soldier in the Roman army under Emperor Diocletian, one of the great Christian persecutors, but George was firm in his Christian faith and because of that faith he suffered greatly. Yet, he won't renounce his faith at any cost. For all Christians he remains an example of an unshakeable faith which endures to the end. This is exactly what Christ seeks from all of us in times of temptation when He say, "he who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13).
We, too, are going through temptations during these days but we rejoice in the Lord's Resurrection! If we firmly witness that faith through our life we too will be numbered among the righteous in God's Kingdom.
