The Steering Committee of RAMP regrets to announce that our beloved founder and current convener, Gerry Gannon, suffered a major stroke on Wednesday, April 22. He received treatment at the Morristown Medical Center until Sunday. Unfortunately, his wife Mary was not allowed to visit; however, their daughter Jeannine, who works at the hospital, visited often and set up Facetime with her mother and other family members.
Since his condition has stabilized, Gerry arrived home on Monday, April 27, with appropriate medical equipment and ongoing care. Mary will be assisting Gerry along with their daughter for the first week.
Both Gerry and Mary have been tireless contributors to all that RAMP has become. We know too that for the time being our RAMP families will sorely miss Gerry — his endless work on their behalf, all done with sunny optimism and glee.
We know that you will join us in offering our prayers and thoughts for Gerry and his family at this difficult time. We ask that our faith-based members include Gerry in ongoing prayer lists. If you would like to contact Gerry, please use the following:
