How is COVID-19 Affecting Agricultural Value Chains Around the World?
In lieu of its postponed Global Food Security Symposium, the Chicago Council held an online discussion exploring global food security challenges amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, how organisations around the world are responding to changing consumer demands and the future of food systems. The Chicago Council is continuing to run these online sessions, discussing issues including the ongoing implications for food systems and how to avoid a hunger crisis as COVID-19 moves into the developing world.

World Food Prize – Nomination Deadline Extended to May 25
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Food Prize Foundation has extended the nomination deadline for its 2021 World Food Prize Laureate to Monday, May 25, 2020.  The World Food Prize is an international award which recognises the achievements of an individual working in the agricultural sector who has made a significant contribution to improving global food security.
