Dear <<First Name>>

I hope this finds you well in these difficult times.

We are writing to all the graduates and students of our PGCPLC programmes with an update along with some specific invitations.

Update on the PGCPLC

Our next Programme 9 is still scheduled to start Friday 17 September, on the assumption that National and European travel and meeting restrictions will be sufficiently lifted by then. The current Programme 8 group is continuing to meet and practice online and will merge with the next Programme for the last three units.  If face-to-face meeting is still not possible in September, we will delay the start a month at a time.  We are also planning an International version of the PGCPLC which will involve two 6-day workshops in February and June next year, with online working between them, and we are already reserving places for this course. We will use this International Programme to start running parts of our teaching online, which will also lead to us offering short online courses.

Forum

We are inviting all of our PGCPLC graduates and students to take part in a regular Forum on Zoom. There has been a call from some for a community experience where we can connect and think together about the present, the future and the contribution psychosynthesis coaching can make in the world.

This need is partly met by our Symposiums but we want to create something that continues between these and responds to emergent individual and collective needs in the current Covid-19 crisis, in which the world as we know it is turning upside down.

The forum will start with the loose theme of how the psychosynthesis coaching community can support leaders and individuals through what is a global crisis of meaning and purpose. Our purpose is to see what can emerge and to build a community which can respond. We will host and lightly facilitate but there is no desired outcome, no write up by us and no agenda.

The first Forum will take place on Friday 8th May 15:00 – 17:00 UK, and thereafter at the same time on the first Friday of each month, with a break in August.  If you indicate an interest in your response to this email, even if you can’t attend the first one, Aubyn will include you in the Zoom meeting invitations for these.

Supervision - F2F and online

Many of you have expressed an interest in group supervision (if you did so in your symposium feedback, we have noted your interest) for your coaching and we are coordinating our psychosynthesis coaching supervisors group to offer some different options.

Initially we planned to start this with a face-to-face group from Thursday 17 September 3pm-6pm in Hendon. We will still do this if possible, but we also now propose some online groups that can start sooner to meet more immediate needs.

Key principles for both online and F2F groups: monthly, 3 hours, groups of 3-4, with a psychosynthesis coaching supervisor. Typically, 40 minutes each on a client you bring, 40 minutes teaching on a theme of common interest and 20 minutes for checking in and out. Fees £75 per participant per session.

The idea is that we will organise the groups according to different needs, matching participants and supervisor groups to optimise chemistry.  We may periodically change the Supervisor for each group (e.g. every six sessions) to give you a variety of supervision experiences.

Most of our supervisors also offer individual supervision (some of you use this already) and this option is included in the reply form.  Fees and arrangements for this are agreed with the supervisor.

Coaching skills intensives

F2F

One day coaching skills intensives, with the first one on Wednesday 14 October 2020, and then again 11 November. We will then schedule four per year from 2021.

The idea is to provide a safe space to practice coaching with colleagues, to learn from observing others, giving and receiving feedback, using triads and small group fishbowl coaching with psychosynthesis facilitation.

These intensives, as well as group supervision, will be open to any coach who is psychosynthesis trained, including from the IoP and Trust, PGCPLC and 5DL. We will refresh the foundations and skills of psychosynthesis coaching, including Trifocal Vision, with some teaching between sessions. Minimum 6 – maximum 12 in the group, £100 each per day.

Online

In the meantime, we will explore trying out a shorter version of the above online using Zoom. e.g. 3 hour sessions. We would offer the first one in June free of charge with a group of up to 12, and then schedule subsequent monthly 3 sessions for a fee of £40 each.

We would be grateful if you would now click the reply button to send an email indicating your interest in any or all of the above, and raising any questions you may have.

We look forward to working with you in these new ways!

Keep safe and best wishes

Aubyn and Paul
