Brother Andrew celebrates his 92nd Birthday!

Dear Kerugma Supporter,

In Response to the release of Kerugma Productions’ DVD, HOW MUCH DO WE REALLY CARE, presented by Brother Andrew for free on YouTube over the weekend, we received the following letter by Pastor Gary Stagg, the Executive Director of Open Doors Canada that was addressed to a dear friend of us, Felitia Truter. We want to share this letter with all of you.

As you will see, Brother Andrew is just now celebrating his 92nd birthday. The DVD that we had the privilege to produce was filmed when he was 80 years old. Click here to see this DVD.

Following is Pastor Stagg’s letter:
Dear Felitia
Today is Brother Andrew’s 92nd birthday, and as we celebrate him, we celebrate the good work God began in him. Sixty-five years ago, he felt God’s call from Revelation 3:2- “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die...”. Brother Andrew’s life has since been modeled on obedience to that call.
I had the joy of meeting Brother Andrew, the founder of Open Doors, a few years ago (pictured above). Brother Andrew’s spark to serve the Lord was not diminished at all!
Key to Brother Andrew’s life is the Word of God and obedience to it. Bibles in every language adorn the bookshelves in his home. Prayer and dedication to the calling he received have been the driving force behind the ministry of Open Doors from the very beginning.
Being obedient to God’s call led Brother Andrew on daring adventures to bring the Gospel to countries behind the Iron Curtain and to a life dedicated to bringing encouragement to those who are isolated and persecuted.
Building on the legacy that Brother Andrew started, Open Doors now works in more than 60 countries and raises prayer and support to strengthen believers where faith costs the most.
Last year, spiritual support was provided through more than two million Bibles and Christian resources. We also provided food, medicine, trauma care, legal assistance, safe houses and schools. This is possible because of the generosity of supporters like you.
To find out more about Brother Andrew, I encourage you to listen to our latest World Watch Weekly podcast which celebrates the life of Brother Andrew. You can also read more about the impact of his life on our blog and send a message to wish him Happy Birthday.
May we learn from Brother Andrew’s example and live a life of obedience to God’s call.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Gary Stagg
Executive Director, Open Doors Canada
