WHAT YOU NOW NEED TO DO TO FILM IN NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand has initiated measures to mitigate the effects of the virus which may affect the productions you are working on or are about to start.
Every production from now on is expected to submit the simple registration form on the Screensafe site.
It is essential to register your production here https://screensafe.co.nz/covid19/registration/
On completion, you will be emailed a certificate. These simple steps will assist the Ministry of Health with contact tracing and WorkSafe with monitoring.
NOTE: This is required for every production, big or small.
In Level 3 and (soon to be) Level 2 the basics need to be observed.
IMPORTANT: keep yourselves, your family and your fellow workers safe.
Here are guidelines and links to information to help you through this crisis from the Government website: https://covid19.govt.nz/
IMPORTANT POINTS
- Protect Yourself and Others – avoid close contact, cover coughs and sneezes, wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
- Stay home if you feel unwell or have a temperature of 38+.
- Small numbers of people at all times.
IMPORTANT NUMBERS
- Healthline Team 0800 358 5453 – if you have arrived from overseas and develop a fever, cough or shortness of breath.
- Government Covid 19 Helpline 0800 779 997 – if you are unsure what support is available, don’t know who to contact for help or would like more information.
The ScreenSafe Health and Safety Covid-19 Standard and the ScreenSafe Health and Safety Covid-19 Protocols.*
These two documents need to be read and utilised together.
ScreenSafe Health & Safety COVID 19 – DRAFT – Standard
ScreenSafe Health & Safety COVID 19 – DRAFT – Protocols
These documents are intended to give Production Companies and HOD’s guidance and forms to manage Covid-19 on a working production.
Please note – these documents have just been endorsed by WorkSafe and can be used by the Screen Sector as minimum standards and guidelines for planning your return to work and return to shooting
