Winter in May. Not funny.

May

Hello, knitters!

What's new with you?

I'm, uh…

It's all so...

The last time I emailed you…

Well. Let's just move on, shall we?

Here's what's happening (and there's a surprise at the end!):

PRIVATE HELP SESSIONS

Knitter's Choice sessions are on hold indefinitely, but I am 100% willing and able to offer private help sessions via Zoom.

These private sessions will take place online via Zoom at the agreed-upon times, and will not be recorded. The online instruction will consist of two windows on my end: one with my smiling face, and one with on-camera close-ups for demonstration purposes. Your smiling face will also be viewable in a window. You'll be responsible for using Zoom (super easy by clicking on a link provided by the instructor via email) on an electronic device that is large enough for the instructor window and demonstration window to be clearly viewed.

For more information such as fees or how-to, or to go ahead and schedule a private help session, please contact me by replying to this email.

FINISHING SERVICES

I am more than happy to take your knitted pieces and turn them into a finished item! Seams, borders, weaving in ends, sewing on buttons, or ? — I can do that for you.

For more information such as fees or how-to, or to go ahead
and schedule a drop off/pick up, please contact me by replying to this email.

VIRTUAL KNIT-INS

As the mood strikes (and if there's been a shower in my recent past) I've been holding somewhat random, somewhat spontaneous show-and-tell knit-ins — also via Zoom. I usually make an announcement early in the day on Instagram and on my Sarah Peasley, Handknitter, Facebook page (links below), collect the names of interested crafters, and then I send an email with a link to a Zoom meeting about 30 minutes before it starts. I keep it pretty short (30-45 minutes) and show you what I'm working on and ask you to show me what YOU'RE working on. I look forward to seeing your bright, shiny faces!

TEACHING AT WOVEN ART

I've scheduled two brand new classes "at" Woven Art. They won't actually be AT Woven Art, mind you. I'll be at my house, and you'll be at your house, and we will do the Zoom thing. Have you done the Zoom thing yet? It's super easy. You just click on a link that I email to you, and off we go! Zoom! You can get more details and sign up through the shop by calling (517) 203-4467.

CABLED INTARSIA HAT

One simple cable twist. Easy-as-pie intarsia. Plus one crazy party trick so you can work intarsia cables IN THE ROUND (not usually done, in case you didn't know)! No previous experience with cables or intarsia are necessary to make this striking 2-color hat. Malabrigo Rios is a soft, vibrant, superwash wool, and is available now at Woven Art in a wide variety of colors.

NEW PATTERN ALERT!
(Yes, you heard that correctly!)

About a million years ago I started threatening to publish patterns based on the projects from the classes I teach. Here it is, a million years later, and I finally got one done: Crisscross Entrelac Totes! WOOT!

If you took this class from me within the past million years, please reply to this email and let me know. And if you have a photo of your finished bag that you can post on Ravelry, please link it to my pattern. Thank you!

And stay tuned for more patterns to appear, hopefully sooner than the next million years…

Stay safe, stay healthy, and while you're home, KNIT ALL THE THINGS!
