Quick Reads

Updated Syllabus Template

The Syllabus Template has been updated for Fall 2020 courses. It also is recommended for Summer 2020 courses. Updates include shortened university statements, new statements on academic continuity and integrity, and a recommended civility statement.

Resources for Online/Remote Instruction

  • Instructional Continuity at USI: Online Learning's website with resources to support your online/alternative instruction, including the Instructional Services Request form, list of peer mentors, and technology instructions to share with your students. 
  • Adapting your Face-to-Face Course for Online: Slides, planning worksheet, and recording from recent webinars to provide guidance for adapting your class to an online/remote environment and to start drafting a weekly plan. 
  • Teaching with Limited Internet: see the webinar slides and recording.
  • Adapting Exams and Assessments: see the webinar slides
  • Teaching with Bingo: Sample bingo card and tips to promote metacognition and positive behaviors while mixing in some fun.

Portfolio Guidelines and Preparation

Slides the May 4 and 6 webinars provide an overview of the guidelines for preparing a portfolio for reappointment, tenure, and promotion and opportunities to consider ideas for one's approach to portfolio preparation. University information portfolio is available on the Provost’s website.

Custom Consultation with CETL
