7PM today, Beginners' Braille Bar

Dear fellow Braillist,

We'd love you to join us for our next Braille Bar session taking place this evening, Monday 11th May, from 7 PM UK time.

This week, we’ll once again be starting with a Q&A session to address any questions you might have about Braille or Braille technologies.

Jenny, a Braille teacher based in the South of England, will be helping us brush up our Braille skills. We finished the alphabet and numbers last week, so this week we’ll be starting with single letter word sign contractions.

Jenny will be basing the course on the popular RNIB "Fingerprints” syllabus, so if you have access to the course materials you may want to follow along.

We'll be hosting these sessions with Jenny at 7 PM on Monday evenings every week, so we hope to build a real feeling of community around the Braille Bar. If you're learning Braille for the first time, or want to return after a few years gap, we’re hoping the Braille bar will equip you with the skills you need to be a more confident Braillist!

BRAILLISTS SURVEY

We've been running Zoom meetings for seven weeks now, and would love to know what our community has thought of them, and what people want from us.
