Hi Covenant friends and family,
At this point in May, we're starting to make the shift from our program year calendar to our summer schedule. It's another one of those things that we're used to in normal circumstances but feels different this year. We wrapped up our Wednesday evening gatherings last week, and this Sunday would mark the end of the Sunday School year. I find myself missing the rituals that help us mark these times and transitions, and maybe you do too.
Scripture talks about time in two different ways: chronos and kairos. Chronos time is the clock, our daily schedules with meetings and obligations at particular times. Kairos time is less precise, more fluid. We tend to operate by chronos time, but this season is challenging us to live in more of the kairos mindset. There is good news in that God is with us in all times, and we can find peace in that promise.
Grace and peace,
Katelyn

Dearest Covenant Family,
Please join us in prayer today at noon as we find our footing in this new world of Covid. We remember those who are struggling with the virus as well as those struggling with the absence of their loved ones.
Please stay safe as we slowly find our footing in the coming weeks.
Peace and blessings,
Becky, Dana, and Sabina

+ + +
Lord our God, we thank you that we can be children of your Spirit. We thank you that because you have called us, we receive eternal gifts that enable us to stand firm even when many sorrows and burdens weigh us down. For you are our life, and in all the darkness, even that of death, you give us light and strength and joyful hope. Keep these alive in us. May an ever brighter light shine on all that you have already put into our hearts, on all that draws us daily to you. Amen.
