Want to join me in helping an immigrant family in Butte County who is still recovering from the devastating Camp Fire, cope with the economic crisis resulting from COVID-19?
NorCal Resist has provided help to over 500 undocumented families in the Sacramento area and northern part of the state, who are ineligible for federal aid. NorCal Resist has had requests from families in Butte County who have lost jobs or cannot work due to the crisis and are matching the families with teams to provide donations. I will be joining a car caravan to bring donations to folks on Saturday, May 16th.
I'm putting together a team to help Cristina’s family. They are in need of supplies for 3 kids, ages 3 months, 12 and 15. We can arrange for you to leave supplies on my porch. I’ll be driving them up to a central location in Chico where the family can pick them up. I’m still finding out their specific needs, but all recipients are in need of items on the list below. You can also send me a financial donation and I’ll be happy to purchase the items you want to donate.
- nonperishable and canned foods
- cleaning supplies (kitchen & bathroom)
- toiletries (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc)
- gift cards (In Chico area there is Safeway, Target, Wal-Mart, SaveMart, WinCo, Grocery Outlet)

If we have enough interest, we can take on a second family. Large food donations can also be dropped off for NorCal Resist to distribute among families.
